Paranoia PbP, but DifferentHow do you simultaneously engage in teamwork
and treason? In text! But seriously...
I have become obsessed with the paranoia world but the only way I can GM is pbp - and I don't think there is a system better suited. So far it's been super fun. But some players aren't fans of the pvp and I'm super into the concept of team dynamics, so we thought it would be interesting to adapt some of the objectives to be less antagonistic.
Some ideas:
- Clone Contribution Checks FC can ask at any time. Any meaningful contributions to mission will be awarded a NODE. Team fails or succeeds as group.
- Cohesion Audits FC looking for Collaboration Competition who can be most Contributing
- CHAP Cohesion Happiness Accountability Points Awarded to allow skill share between players 1CHAP = 1NODE
- Mutual Aid Society Anti- Computer Insane Cooperation Activities
- Happiness Index Who is secretly bringing the team down? How can it be brought back up?
- Peer Performance Reviews
- Collective Clone Count
- Final Termination -> Team Bonding Retreat
I'm just interested to hear thoughts about whether this concept could work, or how I might be able to improve it.
Alternatively, if you think this wouldn't work, I would love some suggestions for how to recruit for the traditional concept.
