I want to use hubzilla for sharing my fotos and maybe other files with my friends and wonder how much additional disk space it would take to share all my photos. Maybe I am wrong, but it seems to me that hubzilla would double the disk usage of my photo albums.
First, my setup: i got all my photos saved on my home server, about 500GB. So far, I used SSH logins to share parts of them with friends, but this is complicated, as not all friends are familiar with SSH/scp.
But if I want to share them by using hubzilla, I would probably have to copy those via webdav to hubzilla, and this would take 500GB (the size on the plain filesystem) + 500GB for the data files in hubzilla. Or did I get something wrong? -- is hubzilla able to refer to files somewhere else on the filesystem?
