Fantastic Stuff
Fantastic Stuff posted in Fantasy and Progress Level 3 forum comment posted by derek_holland Seasons can get quite strange on some worlds. There are a few with a cycle of plains, swamp, seas, marsh, plains.
Some worlds shift shape over a year. These aren't seasons per se, but might be considered as such by the locals. Among the most common are spheres/rings, spheres/pillars, spheres/octahedron/icosahedron, and cubes/torii.
One at least one world Earth and Water are in such a conflict that the continents and islands fly far above a world ocean.
Some giants magically or alchemically turn their boulders into grenades. Smoke, explosions, animation, returning, becoming magnetic, and emitting blinding flashes are just the tip of the iceberg.
One clan of shore dwelling giants can turn water into a solid with the physical characteristics of wood. It is an odd thing to burn water, but in this case it is possible.
In the Chthonic Lands darkness can congeal into a liquid. It is highly reactive to light, releasing heat and glowing gas. It is a highly desired fuel above and below ground.
Some planes have a different residue of fire. In place of ash there is soil, crystals, water, bones, mercury, etc.
One advanced city creates healing potions that also provide some additional buffs. Outside their borders, the potions only heal.
What templates best represent the infusion of the essences of the ethereal and Astral planes? Spell botches relating to shifting to either of them can result in the caster and others suffering that fate.
