Sci-fi Movies
Sci-fi Movies (Classics, Bombs, Upcoming Releases) posted in General Zone forum comment posted by cobalt_phoenix Just got back from watching Jurassic World Rebirth.
It was good, but not great (the first two Jurassic movies were better in terms of plot and characters).
The redesign on the regular extinct critters were great, especially the mosasaur and the T. rex. The latter was definitely based on the Jurassic Park/World design, but it was much larger and chunkier, making it more like what it should be. The former looked much better, especially the coloring and tail fluke. The spinosaurs were interesting, especially in coloration, and the bodies/sails were much better, though the heads were still off (not as bad as JP3, but much better). The titanosaurs were good, though the tails were too long and whip-like, but the colors and details were otherwise good.
The mutadons were interesting, though I wish they had chosen something other than a velociraptor to be the basis.
The D. rex was interesting, though it wasn't as impressive as I had hoped.
The best part, though, is they actually got the wrists right for most of the normal dinosaurs (not pronated).
The quetz, though... That isn't what a quetz's skull looks like, and it already has the head display, so it didn't need more of it on the beak.
