| It would help considerably if a Type 3 equivalent construction facility could do the work and I've suggested how to build a ship with that capability. Does the Nogbanity have one? Plausibly, but it might be a significant proportion of their resources or arrangement with someone else (who might be the Messenger Enterprise, given they've already solved the same problem once.) |
Reviewing what I specified earlier, that'll be a Medium Ship with docking clamps (because it's probably not possible or always useful to have a hangar for what they'll be working on) or maybe by extension, some means to deploy scaffolding, with a Workshop, Fabrication Facility or (not for any of the powers involved) Nanofacture Bay.
I had some thoughts as well for capacity of a Workshop or Fabrication Facility. At minimum,
warships can suggest how many machinists can work there.
