I was looking at some of Mike Libby's modified arthropods (he guts them and replaces the innards with clock tech) and it made me realize that something similar could be used for REAPER's forces. In addition to the centurion robots and legionnaires the computer also captured a few giant arthropods and turned them into cyborgs.
- Arns have a couple weapon pods that produce concussive blasts. Treat them as having a pair of stutter rifles.
- Attercops have metal armor and silk modified to drain energy. The webs act as shields that halve laser, blaster and electrical attacks. The energy is shunted into objects the web is anchored to, likely damaging them.
- Soul besh have two stomachs, one for food and the other for fuel oil. Their proboscii (sp?) are metallic and can pierce fuel tanks of civilian vehicles. Each mosquito can hold 50 liters. If slain, the besh leaks and creates an oil slick.
A handful of those along with the standard forces would make the heroes' lives much more difficult on the battlefield.
* These need an upgrade. Just a few cybernetic implants and grafts that boost their senses and reflexes would make them a much more serious foe.
