Fantastic Stuff posted in Fantasy and Progress Level 3 forum comment posted by derek_holland I meant after undeath (once all the undead fall to dust or are destroyed otherwise). Life, undeath, what might come next? The idea of a world where life energy animates objects has some interesting implications, but is it the same sort of life energy or something else borne of the destruction of undeath?
And the first idea is from several days ago. Guardian's and my ideas just happen to be similar.
Volcanoes draw corporeal undead that attempt to quell their fires by immolating themselves. This does weaken the flames and transforms the undead into incorporeal types.
Some standing stones mark or anchor dungeon entrances in the sky.
One of the purposes of druids is to prevent the incursions that occasionally happen from other planes. They do this by manipulating local foodwebs, eliminating any food source that would draw such creatures. if such creatures do invade, they will starve until they die or return to their plane or origin. Places without druids are usually conquered and altered by the planar beings to act as beach heads for further expansion.
Other than dragons, what living creatures may have metal bones? These would likely be the best sources for metal in all of its uses in terms of purity and freedom from elemental taints.
If there is always a bigger fish, then what are the primary predators of dragons? I would think they are either space or planar in theme as those allow them to have truly stupendous hunting territories.
