Adding to the Fantastic Division
Adding to the Fantastic Division posted in Tangents forum comment posted by derek_holland - Mountains are windblown and slowly creep across the landscape. Trees grow on them, not on the valleys and plains around them.
- Silk is sapient and drives spider mechs.
- There are locations that attract teleporters ala "gravity" (thus bending the route traveled). Use of teleportation can not be used randomly and maps of the attraction sites are vital for safe passage.
- FX points come from the stars. This means deserts have an unusually high level of magic (and possibly less clouds to encourage that) while underground has little FX, only what is imported from above.
- All cities are on or very near volcanoes as eruptions keep the monsters at bay.
- Sea foam spawns short-lived godlings. Mortals can find them and then make the choice of worship (and thus keeping the godling alive) or abandonment (resulting in its death shortly thereafter).
- Sand is the result of boulders playing rough when trying to be king of the peak.
- Nature tests mortals every generation and those who pass gain fey allies and/or access to druidic FX.
- Reptilian avians spontaneously generate over the sea and self fossilize on mountain ranges. Their numbers vary from year to year and those years with many usually have good harvest times.
- Most creatures, including people, have two to six non-connected body parts. Usually this is a core body and NC limbs and sensory organs but it can be any sort of divisions you can think of.
