Mutations
Mutations (rules, examples, misc) posted in Gamma World forum comment posted by derek_holland Altered Structural Element (chitin)
Good, Permanent, CON
The mutant is mostly made up of the material of fungal cell walls and insect exoskeletons. They are light, buoyant and slightly brittle. They have a -2 step bonus to swimming checks and any check related to healing. Being brittle they take an additional point of damage from Low Impact weapons and falls. They also are immune to most toxins created by fungi and insects, allowing them to forage freely for food.
Altered Structural Element (reconstituted flesh)
Good, Permanent, CON
The mutant is a corpse that was returned to life via technology that rebuilt their body with available materials. As the brain's original structure was lost in decay, the character has a new personality. The primary mechanical bonus is two additional Stun and Wound points, the result of the incorporation of non-flesh materials. The player and GM need to decide on what materials exactly as they need to be part of the mutant's diet. Nothing toxic, radioactive, or otherwise hazardous is allowed.
Altered Blood Content (alcohol)
Ordinary, Permanent/Activated, CON
The mutant's blood stream contains at least 50% ethanol. They are immune to the effects of drinking booze and can get others drunk off their breath and blood.
Altered Blood Content (liquid copper)
Good, Permanent, CON
The mutant's blood is mostly a copper solution. It can be dried to form wires and other copper objects, inflicting one Wound point per 100 grams. The mutant must eat food high in copper to heal this damage.
