Tales and Legends of Gamma Terra
Tales and Legends of Gamma Terra posted in Gamma World forum comment posted by derek_holland Just to warn you, some of these are rather dark. And others are a bit goofy, but remember these are the sorts of things ignorant adults tell kids.
- Why do travelers through the wandering forest grow branches from their heads? (Those are actually horns that grow berries. The berries grow into tiny versions of the person and then make their lives miserable. That is why we keep on having break downs when those people are around.)
- Why does the bridge over the River Tongues vanish from time to time? (The Ancients take it back before the Cataclysm. That is why the people on the bridge never come back- they found paradise.)
- Why are rogs so slow? (They aren't, but if they do run as fast as possible they will explode.)
- Why are Ancient statues so small? (They kept images of their loved ones and heroes in their pockets.) [Just to make this clear, those statues are toy figures.]
- How does Gramps fly when he is sleeping? (His dreams are so terribly, the ground is rejecting him.)
- How do red bars [energy cells] make the metal suits walk? (They produce heat and burn the machines. They try to run away from the pain.)
- Why does the church moan in direct sunlight? (The Sun is where the Ancients fled and the church cries when it hears their screams of pain.)
- How does Aunt Budgie survive without a head? (She eats through her navel and talks through her backside.)
