They incorporate themselves into the new biosphere and then are reborn later, possibly years after.
Some volcanoes create lava fountains that capture and compress air. The resulting lava is filled with lightning and some people use it as one use batteries.
The Sword of Sense Theft works by tapping the victim with the flat of the blade. The sense (or voice or whatever) stolen can be restored only by stabbing the victim with the sword that holds it.
Many magical plants use Flesh to Soil to create mounds of good earth from their victims in attempts to reach the sun faster than the greenery around them.
Changing the solubility of a common material is one way to show the fantastic. Say dead wood dissolves in the rain. Buildings would have to be made of protected wood or of other materials.
(Un)holy symbols tarnish/discolor in the presence of their opposite power. They are restored by removing them from that presence or destroying it.
A merlane created sheep that lay a profusion of eggs. The sterile ones are smaller and lighter color than the ones that will hatch into lambs. Food production using these flocks is at least five fold.
A vivimancer has altered domesticated megafauna so they can transform into smaller vehicles. Getting them from A to B is less a cattle drive and more a cross country race.
