Locations of Gamma Terra
Locations of Gamma Terra posted in Gamma World forum comment posted by derek_holland I used Catan dice (and some others) to come up with most of these ideas:
- An experimental city with modular, interlocking parts. Some still work and are popular with those who want to break the old buildings and make something new of them.
- A town that hides its primary industry- creating new nuclear fuel cells. The mutants there have found a way to induce radioactivity in spent uranium and other metals. These cells don't last as long as those of the Shadow Age (only 50-75% of the power), but they exist. There are some artifacts that are only powered by those cells, so this town is a lifeline for many in the region.
- A ruined skyscraper that has been repurposed to act as a massive watchtower. The feral crops and livestock that did this work sell information as well as keep an eye out for invading armies. Currently they are in talks to join The Ranks of the Fit and some other Alliances are trying to sabotage those efforts.
- A mine turned museum is the primary water source for a hamlet of plants. The greenfolk brave the dark and have missed all the artifacts and other resources to be had because they don't have access to artificial light (they have a thing about fire).
- A desert that is flooded every decade or so. The waters churn the soil and bring up vehicles in fairly good shape. If someone were to dig at other times, they find nothing. No one knows why.
