Another Alternity Setting that might work is the Alt-Western supplement, "Sixshooters and something".
Basically it takes a Plot-seed from the Alien Nations TV movies and series. All the regular Star Drive races arrive on Earth in the late 19th century, on a crippled slave ship. Fast forward a century or two, the Aliens are still not integrated into human society and humans have not yet fully deciphered all of the alien tech on the ship.
When a signal is detected from another alien ship the humans panic and deploy the slave ships most powerful weapons. In the fight between humanity and the newly arrived alien ships we get all the fallout needed to create something like Gamma World, with the regular Star Drive species for additional color.
