Druid staves and wands usually have living lichens, mosses, molds, air plants, etc. growing on them. This does not impact the magic of the device, rather the plants and fungi produce seeds and spores and spread wherever the druid wanders.
One's location on the Plane of Earth can be determines by what sorts of rocks are found. Sedimentary indicates one is near Water (and thus Ooze), igneous near Fire (thus Magma), metamorphic near the Positive Plane (thus Mineral), and cobbles, pebbles and sand near the Negative Plane (thus Dust).
Newly introduced alien/sheep hybrids are altering water tables and bodies as rain is filtered through their wool. It is discolored and plants growing in it have strange colored bark. Woolen cloth made from the sheep does the same thing.
Some ioun stones are designed for objects, including normal plants and buildings.
A species of cave-dwelling monkey casts a variant of Plant Growth on fungi to create new places to climb and new handholds on walls. They are immune to almost all monstrous fungi, the exception being zygoms. Those mushrooms love using the monkeys as hosts.
Mobile forges and workshops are set up in daikaiju footprints to draw upon the power left behind. It usually lasts for a year or two, or until people drain the power away.
Student wizards unbalance ambient magic through their ignorance and poor spell casting. Spirits are conjured to mitigate the side effects, though this incurs a debt by the student to the spirit.
Rooster cries put nocturnal creatures to sleep.
