Elder treants can animate whole forests, usually to expand their territory. As long as they have help from a number of normal treants, this can include colonizing mountain ranges far above the tree line.
The Role Aids book on dragons has a small section on how their dreams may impact the world or provide them with new knowledge (disasters and where loot is for the most part). Here are some new ideas for nightmares (most are permanent):
- One reconfigures their lair. The dragon and its servants have to find everything anew and hopefully not set off the traps. This can be really bad for any visitors as well.
- Another teleports 1d8 key treasures from the hoard to who knows where. The dragon will need to spend resources obtaining it once again.
- Then there is the nightmare where the dragon awakes as some weaker creature. This only lasts for 1d4 weeks but depending on the form, it may cause long term mental issues.
- Finally there is the nightmare that permanently curses 1d4 items in the hoard, making them hazardous to the dragon. It will need to research (or have its servants research) the rituals needed to break these curses and that will take its attention away from other matters.
The Key of Potential is consumed when it is used to bypass a prereq for a trait, feat, etc., etc. Otherwise it acts as a skeleton key to the possessor's mind (i.e. their memory is improved).
Aberrations have weird internal organs but usually recognizable exterior parts, such as eyes or skin. These are the result of Nature working on them from the outside in.
The homunculi in Urban Arcana are based on crafting skills (electronics for the hacking bot, mechanics for the robot, chemicals for the standard type and pharmacuticals for the possessing gas). I was looking through Experts 3.5 to see what other crafting skills could be used and here is a sample:
- Artifice results in a homunculus with a single, physical function that may or may not be supernatural. It could be digging ditches, hardening materials, transmuting wood to soft stone, etc.
- Brewing homunculi have intoxicating fumes.
- Drawing homunculi are two dimensional and can enter and alter non-magical writing and other images, including paintings.
- Illusory Apparatus homunculi are stage magicians that can alter a location and make intruders' lives interesting.
- Mapmaking homunculi correct errors of sketches made in the field.
- Shipbuilding homunculi are something like aquatic drones that can repair or damage vessels at sea.
- Locksmithing homunculi are a thief's best friend.
- Soapmaking homunculi reduce filth and chances of contracting diseases.
Spelljammers have a feature that allows them to pass through the edge of a planet's air envelope (atmosphere) without harm. Other ships may cause reality tears or planar rips (the latter usually to Air, Lightning, Ice and Smoke).
