A farmer is never without seed, they (and only they) can use their blood in its place.
For merlanes and vivimancers, special creatures can be considered spellbooks to obtain and study. The results of these studies are recorded in their actual spellbooks and reduce future research costs for spells and magic items.
Paragon levels are divine boons, not just being an elfy elf or the like. This levels can be stripped from the character if they ever commit heresy.
Some ships can transform into islands if needed. Say to escape the worst of a storm or provide neutral ground for hostile groups. They also transform back but this takes more than a simple command phrase, usually this is a 5th or higher level spell.
