I looked at Eclipse Phase's Gatecrashing, whose pages on Exoplanets look like reasonably up-to-date science (a few questionable points) but quite a short section with no great advance on what we have - the next sections on xenobiology were much more interesting. Astrometrics might be on a level with Cosmos and put me on to RTT Worldgen.

For a fantasy setting, occasionally characters free themselves from the Afterlife (or Hell if you prefer). They rip through the barrier between realities and the shock erases most of their memories of their former life and afterlife. On the other hand, they may have some really nifty mundane and FX items captured during the escape, from weapons wielded by the guards to contents of funeral vaults they stumbled onto while searching for an exit.

Spheres of Power and Spheres of Might are considered by some to be the best third party Pathfinder supplements (and by fewer the best PF books period).

Now they are rebuilding them for 5e. Not convert but actually strip down and reconstruct the rules so they work in 5e.

Sounds like they are likely must haves for 5e fans who want more cinematic encounters for their games.

MegaTraveller Journal #4 has "tidbits from .. the Referee's Gaming Kit" which might be the source of a page of encounter tables, looking .. not dissimilar to two decades earlier. "Mission" subtables might offer an interesting step in the method.

An interesting result for Mission of a ship encounter, besides "Piracy", is "In distress" (as also mentioned above for Supplement 7). A battleship in distress might have different implications than a yacht.

Categories are a bit different than I've used (following the Star*Drive campaign setting to some degree) and show boundary cases that often raise some thoughts. For example, Civilian encounters include Mercenary Cruisers, for which it could be relevant that this table describes Traveller's Rebellion era.

"Potions" would actually be pretty easy under the existing rules. You can infuse FX points into something for retrieval later. No reason that can't be a consumable instead of a talisman. Heck, an adept could make a business out of creating Mana Manna biscuits each night out of whatever FXP they have left at the end of the day. Not exactly mass production, but it's an infinitely renewable resource, since you just need a good night's sleep.

I think I was right to include Law Level .. I can use the same initial roll to determine whether the ship is (ships are) based at or visiting the world, or just passing, by comparing the die roll to the place's Civilisation Level, adjusted by its Progress Level.

Encounters shouldn't vary by the Law Level of a reservation, regressed colony or pre-space world. Uninhabited places don't usually have Law Levels, unless claimed by a space-going power that has a defined Law Level, in which case the modifier should apply.

Changes drafted, probably to a point that I'd do an update for a paid product, but I think we can be less formal.
