Mutant Crawl Classics
Mutant Crawl Classics posted in Gamma World forum comment posted by derek_holland Terror of the Stratosfiend #3 has a lot of goodies. Some of the highlights:
- The metaplot (normally I don't like these, but the changes are easy to use or ignore). Sky-lasher has been contaminated by its time in Earth orbit and has become a demonic patron. Terror-eater has retreated, though I have no idea what that means for her wizards, and a new patron has taken her place- Enamel-cortex, an entity that reshapes the living, though in very different ways from anything else I have read. One of her spells transforms two characters or creatures and forces them to perform a parable for a few rounds.
- Of the five classes, two of them are of particular interest as they rider and mount. The rider is an alien cyborg and the mount is (usually) a cyborg pteranodon. If one dies, the other may survive and find a new partner.
- Robotic demons that could easily be used as robots in MCC.
- Fighter jets that are intelligent, have crews of four, the art is a combination of bird or bat and jet, and all have the option of consuming said crew and becoming demonic (or possessed and transformed). Demonic Lasher-corp fighters have an additional power, weapon, or the ability to cast spells.
- The Drop is a form of FTL that takes time to calculate the coordinates (rounds to weeks) and then travel is instantaneous. There are dangers that increase with distance. I might adapt this to a form of transmat network for MCC.
That's just the highlights. There are spells that use The Drop as a weapon and fuse armor to people, additional critters, an ogre class that binds demons, a robotic bat class, a powered armored giant class (fail the coolant check and hope the rest of the party can save your several ton rear), a city and its lake of blood, and a few NPC ideas.
The only thing I don't like is most of the spells' corruption tables are more like misfire. They need to be rewritten.
