We have published guidance for some roughly similar activities.
Exchanging a stardrive booster (
Starships, page 48) depends on a System Operation-
engineering check, which I've assumed the starport technicians (page 34) can help with (their System Operation-
engineering technically isn't specified, but should derive from very similar stats to
repair), setting a total time up to 18 hours, barring Critical Failure. The starport's Install modifier to time also might apply, though not as published.
Starships describes the stardrive booster machinery as a roll on-roll off system, which typically would refer to vehicles or sometimes cargo containers, so the stardrive cores being moved around are substantial items. I've
said that they're half the size of the stardrive booster unit, but I'd accept that for the
Starships listing of a small craft system, the core might be 1 Hull Point and for larger sizes (say, suitable for a Clipper) it's not defined.
Similarly, repairing Wound damage of over half the Durability of a compartment (
GMG, page 163), so a variable amount but at least 1 Hull Point, requires a complex skill check taking at least two hours. Repairing Mortal damage or installing / replacing a system seem like greater effort than should be in scope.
I'd say that pumping hydrogen or similar fuel at PL 6+ should be quicker than these. We might define pumping rates if it ever seems likely to be relevant, but after making a fuel connection, some number of minutes might be right. Recharging a mass reactor doesn't seem as if it should take longer than rolling off and on car-sized high-energy components or repairing Wound damage, but might take a good part of a day.
