They burrow into the flesh and pierce the organ that stores the elemental energy used to power its breath weapon and possibly give its immunity by absorbing incoming attacks. In addition to the resulting explosion that will harm the dragon, it loses both powers until it can heal.
Avatars of gods of magic can add any metamagic effect (spell or feat) to all spells cast within a mile or more. Casters who go above their normal limitations (spell level) lose the spell and blow a fuse. They can't cast spells for at least a day thereafter.
A treant summoner (PF 1 version) has a dog eidolon that it uses to spy on the humanoids that live near its forest. Other summoners want to know how it is able to mask the eidolon's sigil.
Agents of Change are benevolent facilitators that introduce improvements to knowledge and culture (be they celestials or elementals). They do this openly and allow the recipients to accept or reject these changes knowing the consequences of doing so.
The choice between tower prisons and dungeons is usually simple- are there more burrowing or flying monsters and raiders. Where planar invaders are concerned, the prisons are built to play on the prisoners' and monsters' mental and physical weaknesses.
Some animated plants are adapted to certain substances in the soil and bedrock. Remove most or all of it and they change, become more monstrous and try to destroy the mine and miners.
Why gold fever? Why are there no other materials that evoke such greed? Is it cursed or possessed? Is this some form of divine or infernal temptation?
