Gamma Worlds
Gamma Worlds (Yes, as in plurals.) posted in Gamma World forum comment posted by derek_holland I was thinking about large underground complexes all over the system but that is rather pointless if all of them have similar artificial gravity. It is all the same even if the ruins differ. To use the system, the heroes need to be on the surface at least some of the time and see the sky, how it is different from all the other skies they have seen.
Which brings up the point of atmospheric chemistry, superscience weirdness and what the gas giants actually look like in the Gamma Age.
The Great Red Spot may be an octagon with Earth-sized metallic triangles emerging from each point or it could have been replaced with a machine that processes' gasses and stores them fro shipping (the leaks obvious from orbit and looking nastier by the week).
Saturn's rings could be much thicker as material was brought in from the Oort Cloud, a way station for water and fusion mass for ships in this part of the system. So much is there it could power and water hundreds of Warden-sized ships for thousands of years.
The two blue orbs could have micro suns, or some sort of light source, in their upper atmospheres meant to keep biospheres alive. These may be engineered, taken from gas giants in other systems or a combination.
Something to consider when designing a new setting.
